Rosalyn T. Holland
A native of Staten Island, New York, Rosalyn Holland is the youngest of two children born to Mrs. Ida Willis and the late Emerson Willis, Sr. A graduate of Port Richmond High School, Rosalyn was educated in the public school system of New York City. On October 10, 1998, she married the love of her life and her gift from God, Harrison Holland. They are the proud parents of Gregory Holland. Currently residing in Hackensack, NJ,
Rosalyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Communication from Kaplan University and a Master’s in Information Technology with a concentration in Web Design and Development from the University of Denver. She believes it is never too late to fulfill a dream, having completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2014 and her Master’s in 2018.
Professionally, Rosalyn held positions at Home Life Insurance Company as a Loan Specialist and then at Guardian Life Insurance Company of America as a Systems Analyst and Senior Programmer until her retirement. Over her extensive career, she has shown resilience and dedication, surviving four major company cutbacks.
Rosalyn gave her life to Christ at an early age and has faithfully served Him throughout her life. She received her early Christian education in a Pentecostal church. There, she was taught to love people and remain faithful to her faith in Jesus Christ. After her father’s passing in 1974, she united with her mother’s church, Shiloh AME Zion, in Staten Island and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Lemuel Turner in April 1975. At Shiloh, she served on the Usher Board, Christian Education of Youth, and as the Superintendent of Buds.
Rosalyn has been with the church of her choice, elected Second Vice President of the Assembly of Christian Educators, and assigned as a New Jersey Conference Education Committee member. She was appointed the Jersey City District Director of Christian Education, Financial Secretary, Budget Committee, and Secretary for her local church.
Rosalyn is a Christian Educator who has a passion for God’s people, and there is nothing in life more rewarding than seeing the excitement in a person’s eye when they understand what God is telling them.
Upon the election of Rev. Dr. Melanie Rogers Miller during the 52nd Session of the General Conference as the 110th Bishop in the line of secession, Rosalyn was honored to be asked to serve as the Co-Missionary Supervisor to the Western Episcopal District, where blessings flow, and the joy of the Lord is intense.
Rev. Jimmie L. Miller
Rev. Jimmie L. Miller is a 27-year veteran of the U. S. Navy and a 30-year veteran of the ministry. He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Management from Troy University. Additionally, he served as Commanding Officer of Navy Recruiting District Los Angeles, Executive Officer of the nuclear submarine USS RHODE ISLAND and in various other high ranking leadership positions. As commanding officer, he was directly responsible for over 330 military and civilian personnel and managed a budget of over 10 million dollars. Commander (retired) Jimmie Miller served for six years as the Area Manager of the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Program (NJROTC), Northeast where he supervised 155 instructors and over 10 thousand cadet students. He is now the District One Operations Manager for NJROTC where he supervises Area Managers in the east and Europe. Rev Miller served as pastor of numerous churches throughout Zion. These include Zion Temple AME Zion in Gainesville FL, Red Oak Grove AME Zion in Gates NC, Martin Temple AME Zion in Compton CA, Greater Metropolitan AME Zion in Norfolk VA and St Thomas AME Zion Church, Somerville NJ. Rev. Jimmie Miller served as the Director of Evangelism for the New Jersey Conference and as a Supernumerary Minister at St Paul AME Zion Church, Ewing NJ. He was appointed Co-Missionary Supervisor of the Western Episcopal District by Bishop Melanie Miller at the 52nd Session of the General Conference. He is the first man to serve as a missionary supervisor in The AME Zion Church.
Rev. Miller has numerous certifications including Naval Nuclear Engineer, Resource Management and Analysis, and Education and Training Management, just to name a few. Commander Miller was the first African American to be awarded the Fredrick D. Wadder award for submarine excellence. Rev. Miller is a native of Paterson New Jersey and is married to Rev. Dr. Melanie Miller also of Paterson, New Jersey. Together they have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
