Mrs. Effie B. Woodard is an active member of Cameron Grove African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Broadway North Carolina

Member of the Dunn- Lillington District of Central North Carolina Conference of the Eastern North Carolina Episcopal District

Graduated from Central Carolina Technical Institute (now Central Carolina Community College) with an associate degree in Secretarial Science and Office Management

In the local church she serves as Local President of Women Home and Overseas Missionary Society, member of the Board of Christian Education, Deaconess, Sunday School teacher and Chairman of the Church Hospitality Committee.

On the District level she serves as District Director of Christian Education of the Dunn-Lillington District and Assistant Secretary of the District. Working in the Central North Conference Mrs. Woodard served as Second Vice President of the Lay Council and a member of the Board of Christian Education.

Mrs. Woodard working on the Connectional Level she served 8 years as co-President of Southeastern Region Assembly of Christian Educators eight years as Second Vice President of Connectional Lay Council Elected a General Conference Delegate from 1992-2023, Mrs. Woodard served on the Board of Global Mission

Active in her community she serves as Chief Judge of the Boone Trail, Precinct Member of the NAACP, Member of National Council of Negro Women, Life Member of the Christian Education Department and the Connectional Lay Council

Retired in 2010 as Assistant Clerk of Court. Harnett County, Lillington, NC

Blessed to have been married to Cecil Woodard, Jr., now deceased.

Two wonderful sons Troy D, Sr. and Stephen J. Five grandchildren: Alysha, Troy Jr, Alisha, Meisha, and Faith. One great grandson Ashor
